What Sports did you play growing up?
Growing up, I played soccer in a youth sports program. I also played basketball and did track & field at the St Anthony Daniel elementary in Pickering. My parents sent me to a lot of sports camps, including the Raptors camp where I played 1-1 against former NBA legend Isiah Thomas (I Lost 10-7!)

What skill(s)from sports are you using today?
Sports showed me how to make friends, how to focus to reach my goals, and gave me mental toughness.

Did you have a favorite coach growing up?
My favorite coach was Mr. Giette, he actually knew how to play ball!

Do you still play sports?
I still play basketball every week. I also participated in the NBA 3-3 basketball tournament this past summer.

How else do you stay active?
I occasionally work out as well.

Every week Mr. Excellent will post an interview with someone who believes 'sports made their life better'. If you want to be featured, send us your 'stats', a smiling picture with the answers to the questions above. Thank you!
